I'm Sabiha (sa-BEE-ha). I'm a first generation Muslim Bangladeshi- American woman and use she/they pronouns. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and practice as a psychotherapist in the state of MA. I completed my BA in psychology and Spanish at the University of Virginia and received my MSW at Boston University.
Since starting my career as a therapist, I've worked in different settings, ranging from integrated community health centers to private practice, and have served primarily BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent communities and their intersectionalities. I have provided individual, couples, and group therapy to children and adults of all ages, written letters in support of gender affirming procedures on behalf of clients, provided on-call services for mental health crisis lines, as well as provided clinical supervision to other clinicians in the field.
I decided to start my practice after reflecting on the all too common barriers that limit care to marginalized populations- mental health care is a right, not a privilege, and should be easy to navigate and accessible to all. I hope to create a space that is warm, safe, and inviting to folks of all backgrounds and strive to dismantle and challenge systems of oppression.
